So we went to kuranda one day and it was really cool. It's a small rainforest village. There where a bunch of different types of zoos but I went to the Koala Gardens. It was so awesome! Graeme, Emma, and Kelsey went to a reptile one. (EW). I guess it was pretty cool. Anyways I got to feed kangaroos and wallabies and hold a cute koala bear! Her name is Piper and is 4 Years old. It was so soft and cuddly! One of the coolest things. The next day we rented a car and FINALLY started moving again. We traveled for the while day. We stopped at a few spots but mostly travelled. We ended up in Townsville. This is a very bad name since it is the biggest city in Queensland. That night we made supper and then went to bed! This morning we got up and went to work out. Ugh. Then chilled on the beach till about 2, got to our hostel at 3 and had 'lunch' at four. Now we're just out and about! Tomorrow we are leaving for Bowen where Kelsey has family and we plan to stay there for 5 days.
I'll update soon!

Crocs can't jump into the boat Quinn...
Australia is so amazing! No matter if its cloudy or rainy it is always +25 or more! It's my type of weather! Three days ago Emma, Graeme, and myself went to Port Douglas for two nights. Its a very nice resort town. On our first full day there we took a guided tour up to the Dantree forest. While we where walking in the forest it started to pour! It was crazy because the rain was warmer than the air!! After that we went to a creek where we had a BBQ lunch and got to go canoeing and also got to swimg with some turtles!! :) Emma was so extatic! It was a lot of fun! After that we went crocodile spotting which was really fun. At one point there was some ripples in the water and Emma joked about a croc coming and eating me right off the boat! "They wouldn't take us here on this boat if there was a chance of being eaten by a croc Quinn." The next thing the tour guide says is "These crocs can lonch themselves 3 METERS out of the water with their tail. They're known to snatch people right out of boats!" Me and Emma could not stop laughing! Thankfully there was no crocs jumping out of the water at us. The next day our shuttle couldn't pick us up till 6:30 PM so we just layed on the beach. :). Not too bad. Today or tomorrow Graeme and I will be going to Koranda for the day. It's a small rainforest village with lots of aboriganees(?). We will be figuring out how we'll be getting down the coast. Either renting or taking the train! NO BUSSES! So sick of busses. I can't believe how little time we have here till we're all back in Canada! :) Very exciting.
Welp, people should be getting up soon! Got to run!

Christchurch/New Zealand my last day
So after Queenstown me and Graeme took a bus from Queenstown to Christchurch. Which was not fun as it was an 8 hour bus ride. But we got to Christchurch in one piece and went and slept. Waking up at 5 every morning is not my thing. The next day we met up with Michelle, Alexis and Emma. We went to the mall with Michelle and Emma. Once we got there we lost Graeme to Narnia. So we waited and waited the. I got really worried. Of course he just went to pak n save (cheap!) and got our stuff for supper. Silly goober. Anyways that was a good day. The next day we went to the shopping centre called re:start which is a outside mall where all the shops are in shipping containers! Really sweet idea. And we packed our stuff to send home. Dad, you would be proud. Then ice cream and more chilling. Graeme and I went to the movie "Battelship". I thought it was AWESOME where Graeme just found it cheesy. That's alright. Today is our last day in new zealand. Alexis and Michelle left this morning and Emma moved to the hostel Graeme and myself are staying at. We don't know how to spend our last day here. It is very sad. But AUSSIE TOMORROW! So excited! :) talk to you all in Aus!

The Milford Track
So just on the 14th Graeme, Kelsey, Brendan, and myself went on a very amazing trek called the Milford track. It is a four day trek through a pass between two mountains. Technically they're no longer mountains but they are big enough for me to call them Mountains! On the first day we caught a ferry from lake Te Anau to the start of the trek. That day we only had to walk a small way. We go to our hut and had our supper then the hut ranger had a talk about what to expect the next day. This happened at every hut and it was VERY helpful. The next day we walked for about 5-6 hours. It was mostly flat so it wasn't too hard. We saw so many birds! And a bunch came up right to our faces! They are so beautiful! The next day was the 6-7 hours! A very long day. This was the day where we climbed up to the top of the pass and then went down into Aurther Valley. The going up was EASY! No lie. It was the easiest part of the whole trek, I believe. The top was amazing! On our way down we saw many waterfalls and birds and rivers, or as they sometimes like to call them, creeks. These are NOT creeks! Just wait till You see photos of these so called creeks. That day was a great day! The hardest part was going DOWN HILL! I am not crazy. Anyways we finished that day and started the last. It was a 5:30-6 hour hike to a place called sandfly point. Sandflies are 100% worse than mosquitoes. And this area was just FULL of them. Bug spray does not work. After that we went from there to Milford Sound. it was BEAUTIFUL! Everything was amazing. My feet are sore and my shoulders are dead but it was worth every pain, penny, and minuet! I didn't give you all a very good decription of what happened because I want to have at lease one story to tell you when I get back home! Oh and Sutherland Falls was amazing! I can't wait to show you all pictures and tell you everything! :) Now I am in Queenstown about to go have a victory Furgburger!

The Catlins and Queenstown (Again)
So after Christchurch me and Graeme went off to Omaru. It was a very pretty little town but REALLY sketchy at night. REALLY sketchy. We had to wait for our buss that was at 9:30 P.M. and we thought we would have a supper out then go to the bus depo to wait for our bus. Just sit and chill and wait. So we went to this small chinese place and got two dishes and shared them. Asortide fried noodles and sweet and sour ribs. The Sweet and Sour sauce was not a sauce but more of a... Syrup is the closest thing to it. Then we payed and left to the bus depo. People where already drinking and drunk by no later than 6:00 P.M.! And I believe that was a Sunday. Although I'm not 100% sure. Anyways too many DRUNK people where there and we go pretty scared so we moved to where all the Taxi people where. We got on our bus and headed off to Dunedin! We got there at 11:30 and checked into our hostel, went up to our room only to find that the people didn't make the beds! What a great day, right? We went downstairs and got moved to another room and then finally went to sleep! The next day we walked around and went to the public art museum and chilled there till we met up with Kelsey and Brendan. Kelsey and I went shopping while the boys went to a nature resurve. It was awesome shopping with a girl. Graemes great and all.... but... We'll just leave it at that. I got a new shirt and a totally new outfit. It's beautiful and can't wait to put pictures up! :). Anyways after shopping me and Graeme went and made our supper and then me, Graeme, Kelsey went for a beer. It was earth hour which was pretty cool. The next day we had another bus too Queenstown where we had one night there and then got a car!! WOOOOO! I have offically driven on the other side of the road. We had a lot of fun with the car but had a lot of stress as well. The catlins where amazing but I'll have to update you all on that another time. And now we're at Queenstown waiting for when we have our trek!

Traveling
So we went to Christchurch and I think I would have liked it a lot more if there wasn't so much construction going on. We got to meet up with Michelle and David which was awesome. We stayed two nights then moved on to Oamaru. We have one more night here. It's a very pretty town. It's quite big. Right now we're trying to figure out busses and it's stressing me out!

Dancing on the side of the road! Country I am.
Sorry for not blogging more. Nothing much has happened. On Saturday we had the day off so me and Graeme slept in which was AMAZING! We then got up had breakfast and then biked into town. We went back to the park with the flying fox but there was to many kids there so we just sat in the sun. Mmmmmmm. We then went for lunch and Graeme had a salad where I had a burger with fries... Anyone see how weird this is? Anyways we then went and got some food to make a home made salsa! Yumm! The next day we also had off. Graeme wanted to bike to these Maori rock drawings which we had no idea where they were. That was fun since there was about 20 different hills we had to bike over. -.- I wasn't very loving towards Graeme after that. The drawings where pretty cool but really faded. Monday we split wood nothing to special about it. Tuesday we harvested potatoes in the morning but the tractor ad the harvester where broken! So then I mowed lawns. And it stalled and he told me just to wait for a little while and he'd come help me when he came back from town. So I just sat on the side of the road waiting and listening to music, then singing the music, then dancing and sing to the music. The cows really enjoyed my performance. I even had. Stage. (The mower). I have a picture of it so you can all imagine how awesome I was. Today so far I've cleaned the cottage while Graeme gets to pick up wood. We are now making our lunch of canned spaghetti. Solid. Me and Graeme eat better when we're traveling rather than wwoofing with Ian. I've convinced Graeme to let us leave on the 25th!! Woooot! :) But I ought to go!

Wwoofing continued
So today was our second full day at our new wwoofing place. I'll catch you up in what we've done.
While we where still at Hannah's and Sam's we went to a sheep dog show and they showed us how they control the dogs with just a whistle! He can tell them what to do from 3 kms away!!! I got to ride one of the horses for a little while which was really fun. Nothing much happened after that. Mostly shoveling poo. On our last day Hannah drove us to Timaru and we chilled there for a while and then drove us to Ian's place (our new wwoofing place). Ian is real nice and he has a farm stay type thing going on. We don't have to shovel horse poo here but I do quite like Hannah's and Sam's better. It's mostly pulling out weeds and such but the difference between here and Hannah's is they where teaching us stuff where here I believe Ian just sees it as free labor. But what can you do? Today we worked for 5 hours then biked into town and got some junk food :). On our way back to the farm we found the best playground in the WORLD! You know how parents wanted safer playgrounds so the took all the cool stuff away? Well they missed this one! Cha-Ching! ;)

REAL Wwoofing!
So the last three days me and Graeme where in Lake Tekapo. My favorit place in NZ forsure! The first day we where there was BEAUTIFUL! The second day Graeme went to Mt. Cooke and I went horse back riding along the mountains... NO BIG DEAL... The next day we lazed around and played Plants vs. Vombies. That brings us to today. We got up at 6:00 A.M. to take our tent down and hop onto the Magic bus. We stayed on the bus for no longer than 30 minuets and started walking to a little town called Cave. It was 28 km from where we started but thankfully a nice old farmer came and gave us a ride to our Wwoofing host front door! He was very nice. We then started our first day of work. There wasn't much to do since it was raining aaaaaallllll day. First we shoveled horse poo. Someone PLEASE tell Grandpa that!! Then we had lunch. After we went to the sheep shearing place and cleaned it up a bit. Then we loaded and unloaded firewood. Thats all we did today. Hannah (the wife) is a barrel horse racer and offered to take me riding with her! Shall be loads of fun! But they all ride english style here. I think it's very uncomfortable.
Welp, thats all folks!
P.S.
There won't be any photos for a while. Sorry.

Dunedins greatest things
So yesterday we found out that there is nothing to do here except a few things. Yesterday we went to the Cadbury chocolate factory! It was pretty awesome since we got free chocolate bars and a shot of liquid chocolate! I got to have two chocolate shots ;). We then did nothing. Today we slept in *Aaaahhhh*. Then got up and walked to the worlds steepest street. It took us 5 minuets to walk to the top. I'll put the photo of the facts since I'm just too tuckered out today! Tomorrow Graeme is taking me on one of the most beautiful train trips there is. :) He's a keeper! We found, not one but two, wwoofing jobs just a little north of here! On real farms! We're both quite excited! :).
Welp, that's all for now! :)

Queenstown
Sorry for not blogging lately. I can't really blame it on there nothing to be blogged about. I was just very lazy the last week! Anyways we arrived in wanaka (was a mandatory stop before Queenstown) and the girls (Emma, Kelsey, Alexis, and myself) separated from the boys. We had a good night talking and laughing and a little bit of screaming ;). The next morning we headed off to Queenstown. On the way we stopped and watch a couple bungi jumpers. I don't really like the idea of it but it was pretty cool to watch. We then made it to Queenstown. The city has beautiful surroundings but the actual city is a huge tourist trap. Everything is crazy expensive. We got settled in and did a couple things then decided to go out that night for one beer. One turned into two and two turned into three and before you know it me and Kelsey where signed up in a jello wrestling contest. It was actually a lot of fun once me and Kelsey wrestled (you had to take off their sock to win$ because it was an actual challenge. We made it to the final two where Kelsey won. It was all good though. I'm also glad to say that was my ONLY wild night. The rest of the time was sleeping and chillen and baking. We where there for about four days without the boys. When the boys showed up nothing really happened. That night we went out with the boys but I didn't stay out late because myself and Graeme where tired. The next day I believe I went rock climbing! On a real mountain! It was awesome! The next day me and Delton went on the Nevis Swing. It is the largest swig in the WORLD. It had a 300m arc and has a rope length of 120m. It was amazing. I was really scared when I first or there but then I just got more and more excited until finally me and Delton went. We went tandem which I'm very happy about. I'll be sending the DVD of pictures and video of the whole thing so my mom can put it on Facebook for me. :). That day Kelsey, Emma, Brendan, and Graeme went paragliding. Kelsey and Delton went the day before. I defiantly want to do that at some point in my life. Which brings us to today where we (excluding Emma and Alexis since they are wwoofing in Queenstown) moved on to Dunedin. Today was not a great day but that's ok because I'm hitting the hay EARLY tonight.
Nighty night.
Nighty night.
