I went up a mountain!

So today I went up mount Ngauruhoe or as most people know it as Mount Doom from the Lord of the Rings movies. 19.6 km in 6 hours! The views where amazing! It was very physically demanding but I would it again in a heart beat. I could have gone up all the way but I wouldn't have made it back down in one piece. Heehee. There isn't really much to say but here is some pictures!

Off to the national park!

Today we will be leaving for New Zealand's national park! It's been so long I forget everything that I've done! Ops! So I'll just put up some random photos.

An absolute fairy tale.

Sorry for not updating more! There hasn't been much to say. I'm in waihi beach at Kelsey's friends batch (that means cabin!). There hasn't been a whole lot going on. It's been pretty rainy the whole time and we've just sat around doing nothing. Until today. It called for 100% chance of rain. So I woke up to sunny skies. Pretty great. So seeing our chance myself, Graeme, Michelle, Emma and Alexis went on a hike to these amazing falls. It was so beautiful! Words and pictures will not be able to actually explain it! But of course I took loads of pictures. :). At the falls you can actually climb up to an area by the falls and there is this pool of water there. It's hard to explain but it was like from a movie!! An absolute fairy tale! We will be here until the 8th then we're off to Rotorua. We plan to be in Wellington by Christmas where a family friend of Kelsey's has invited all 8 of us for Christmas!! :) I can't wait. Well that's all I got for now.

Sorry for not blogging! Been having way to much fun! So I was just up north in Paihia. A very small tourist town but so beautiful! We spent one night in a hostel (which
was almost like a resort!! Living it rough over here.) and then two nights in a camp site! I loved camping! On the third day we went hiking to haruru falls. So beautiful! You know in movies how people stumble onto a waterfall? Yeah, that's what it felt like. After our hike (10 km I might add) we went to the beach. Graeme thought it would be a good idea to throw me into the ocean. That big meanie!! He's lucky he's cute! People are getting to their breaking point but we're handling it pretty well. I think. :P tomorrow we are leaving Auckland to go to Thames where Kelsey has some friends near there. We will staying there for about two weeks. I'm really excited!! :) post more later!! Xoxo

North!

On our way north! It's still amazing and I'm having so much fun! I broke down yesterday missing my family. I called and got to talk to them :) I don't have a lot of wi-fi so I'll need to update later. :)

It's so pretty here! Everything is so green and different! And there is hills! Hills everywhere, which isn't any good for a prairie girl. We're not too badly jet legged but I'm still tired. We plan to go to 90 mile beach next. I'm pretty sure all of us want to go so that will be awesome! Living off a limited budget has made me more tolerant of bland food. Probably shouldn't say that cause when I get home my parents will use that against me! Oh no! :) It's pretty interesting how I haven't broke down crying yet. I really miss my family and I've had time to cry but I just haven't. Gots to go find find some people! Bye!!!

Now it's really starting to hit. I leave in 11 hours. Me and my family are going out for our last supper! Plus Leina of course. :) got to love that lady. Welp, I'll blog some more from the airport!!

Ready to GO

Two more sleeps till I go to the other side of the world. I'm packed and have everything I need. Hopefully at least. I can't believe that I'll be across the world with some of my closest friends. And my cute boyfriend :) I'll post more when I have something interesting to say! Hopefully I will!
